Malt whisky tasting

The whiskys this time came from the west highlands area, Perthshire. The distillerys are all grouped together but what a difference there is between them. Everybody enjoyed all of these malts, with my favourite being the GlenTurret with it`s buttery taste, closely followed by the Aberfely, a nice after dinner malt with hints of oranges.

Malts tasted:

Blair Athol 12 year old 43% £32

Aberfeldy 12 year old £25

Glenturret `85 cask strength 55.2% £64

Edradour cask strength 59% £45

Dalwhinnie - distillers edition 43% £36

Malts and their cases

Malts and the raffle prizes: `whisky bible` book, whisky magazine and a glass golf ball from st Andrews with whisky inside it.
